Visual Infinite Canvas for Notes, Projects and Tasks
I would love to see a visual, infinite canvas integrated directly into ByDesign. The idea is to have a flexible workspace where I can freely arrange and connect notes, tasks, projects, ideas, documents and other ByDesign objects visually. Ideally, the canvas would support: An infinite, zoomable workspace Free positioning of cards, notes and objects Connecting objects with lines/arrows Nested or linked notes and sub-pages Creating mind maps and visual knowledge structures Converting canvas items into tasks or projects Linking existing ByDesign tasks, projects and notes to the canvas Drag & drop organization Different visual layouts for brainstorming, planning and project management Ability to attach files, images and documents AI-assisted organization of the canvas, such as automatically grouping related items, creating structures and turning ideas into actionable tasks The most important part would be that the canvas is not a separate tool, but deeply integrated with the existing ByDesign ecosystem. For example, I would like to be able to visually map a project like: Project → Areas → Ideas → Notes → Tasks → Subtasks → Documents and then open any item directly in its corresponding ByDesign view. This would make ByDesign much more powerful as a visual thinking, planning and knowledge management system, while keeping tasks, projects, calendar and notes in one place. A flexible canvas combined with ByDesign's existing productivity features could become an extremely powerful workspace for both personal knowledge management and complex project planning.

Task Timer - Seeing the timestamps
Hey all! Thanks so much for such a wonderful app. Since a user can allot a Duration and also start a Task Timer, it would be incredibly helpful if we could see the time stamps (date, time started and ended) or a report log of the said task. This way we can see if the task spanned over days, or just a single session. Hopefully this feature benefits everyone too!

Allow tasks to be “chunked” and span several days
Allow tasks to be “chunked” or broken down, and allow them to span several days. 1. Duration and Deadlines: When you create a task, you specify the total time needed to complete it and its due date. Automatic Task Chunking: Based on the total duration, deadline, and your defined event durations, Reclaim.ai will automatically break the task down into smaller "Task Events" and distribute them across your calendar.17 For example, a 6-hour task might be broken down into three 2-hour sessions scheduled on different days leading up to the deadline. Duration and Deadlines: When you create a task, you specify the total time needed to complete it and its due date. Minimum and Maximum Event Durations: You can set preferences for the minimum and maximum amount of time you want to work on a task in a single session. This prevents you from scheduling very short, unproductive blocks of time or overwhelmingly long work sessions.

Smarter Dashboard
The dashboard could use a bit more intelligence. Imagine “live” digital countdowns for time-based tasks. To add more useful at-a-glance visual information, provide an option to display task completion as Closure Completion rings.

Object oriented organization instead of Folders
ByDesign needs ability to organize ideas into connected objects, not files buried in folders. Link anything to anything, and find what you need the moment you need it. Powerful search instead of forcing users to remember what documents (Pages) stored in which folders. You need a database to track folders and folder content. 😆 I feel like I am spending more time filing , organizing and then remembering where does this page goes into which folder. Yes I am spending more time filing than thinking. Files and folders made sense in 1984. But the human brain does not think that way. Humans think and make connections to “Things” aka Objects; People, ideas, projects, dates, tasks, phone numbers, goals, habits. These are all things or objects. Objects have properties that connect to each other. I wish ByDesign was more object oriented, no deciding which folder something belongs in. No more losing notes, or data in nested hierarchy.

Notes expand to full screen
Notes should be able to expand into full screen. If you have pages of notes you are currently only able to see a small amount of the information. Allow us to see notes in full screen.

Expand images in notes
Can I make a suggestion to make the images that you upload expand to the whole screen when you click on them in notes. Thanks Richard

Display Parent Page (or Page Path) on Kanban Cards
Since we have multiple projects going on at the same time, this would make it easier to identify tasks from different pages without needing to open the task. See image. Thank you.

Complete AI Opt-Out
I actively hate AI and will stop using a platform if AI is being shoved in my face. I would like for there to be a master setting to completely shut off all AI options and interactions, so The Hub and the new sidebar menus that are being added to use AI support would completely disappear from my screen. I don’t want any possibility of AI being accessed or accessing my data by accident.

Home page custom organization + icons/ widgets
Hi! I think it would be very helpful for me if the elements on the home page could be moved around or if there could be a few different layout options. I included a photo of what an ideal layout for me would be. Basically, calendar across the top, tasks for today only displayed, a few key “pages” that I access regularly being available and editable straight from the home page like the tasks are, as well as the options for a few visual widgets/ icons for various things like an icon of a dying plant I can click on to water my plant, a blinking exclamation when I’ve got an overdue task, and a little weather icon for the current weather. I think it would dramatically reduce the clutter of the home page for me, and the widgets would mean I could use it like a screen saver on a family owned tablet.

Add “Capture Photo” Option in Image Upload Menu (Android)
When adding an image, it would be very useful to have a direct option to capture a photo with the camera from the selection menu, instead of only choosing existing images. This would make it much faster to take notes with photos in real time (e.g. during conferences or meetings), without needing to switch between apps.

Customizable Progress Bar and Timer for Projects (TAG Filter)
A customizable, red progress bar for the timer, which is currently somewhat too narrow? I constantly have to search to see how much time has elapsed. Would it be possible to make the display larger or thicker? The timer itself is very practical—I understand it is not intended as a time-tracking tool—yet such a feature would be immensely beneficial. Freelancers could save a considerable amount of money by generating precise reports that clearly show how much time was spent on specific tasks, enabling minute-accurate billing. Many users wish not only to capture screenshots but also to monitor how much time a client invests monthly. Perhaps a TAG (project) filtering system could also be added.
