PDF Export

Feature Request

Please support exporting to PDF. As a user I want to export my notes into PDF format so that I can easily share, archive, or print them for use outside of ByDesign.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Given I am viewing a single note, when I choose to export, then the system should generate a PDF of that individual note.

  • Given I am viewing a folder, when I choose to export the folder, then the system should generate a PDF for each note within that folder and compress them into a single zipped file.

  • Given I am viewing a parent note with nested sub-notes, when I choose to export the parent note and its sub-notes, then the system should generate a PDF for the parent note and each sub-note, and compress them all into a single zipped file.

    Just tried to export a massive document and discovered, belatedly, and like others have pointed out in Discord, the ByDesign export is a mess right now. 🤦‍♀️ It’s going to take me forever to clean it up to have it ready for others to review in a couple of days.

    plus one to this - exporting a page and all the sub pages in the same way as mentioned by Ryan would be super useful
